Wow, how has October made it’s appearance on our calendars already? It’s already the 14th of October and I haven’t been able to properly sit down and grab one second of the autumn season. The crisp weather, falling leaves around me and warm cups of tea, you know Christmas is just around the corner when these start showing themselves. Yes, I’m that person who starts thinking about Christmas the minute it’s acceptable to do so. Like I expect most people do, I prefer to change up my makeup looks depending on the current season. Summer, I like to wear brighter eyeshadows and a nude lip. Winter I usually brave a bold lip with a subtle or smokey eye. And Autumn/Spring I like to mix and match with warm toned shades and a variety of lip colours. One brand that I’ve found offer a large variety of warm to cool tone eyeshadows for any day is Kiko. The company was established and founded in 1997 by Percassi. It is an Italian professional cosmetics brand that features a range of cutting-edge makeup, face and body treatments. Their motto “Be What You Want to Be.” is something I think a lot of us can admit we forget to live by, and let other peoples expectations of ourselves define who we become. Personally, I wear makeup because I have a passion for it. I have a passion for creating the most outrageous looks, and just feeling confident in myself. So what if someone wants to wear that green shadow that everyone else thinks is vile? Who cares if someone only wears nothing but black? It’s who they want to be, and we should let people carry on doing that. This is one thing that I’m proud of Kiko for maintaining, and thats a positive attitude towards the beauty industry. In todays post I wanted to share with you three of my favourite Kiko eyeshadows that have caught my eye throughout the past few months.

Let’s begin with this dark chocolate shade in 04 Matte Cocoa. The pigmentation in this shadow is what makes the product as good as it is. Yes, it can be a bit difficult to blend, but it’s perfect if you’re needing something to last for a number of hours. I like to apply this colour to the outer corner of my lid and create a dramatic smokey eye. With a touch of gold glitter in the centre I think this colour is a perfect touch.
A dramatic change in colour, this next shade is 264 Sparkling Green. Although it is Green, I’ve never understood why Kiko decided to add ‘Sparkling’ into the name because there is no sparkle! Apart from that confusion I am totally in love with this colour. For spring I like to apply a dark green through my crease with a light brown shade on my lid. And this is the perfect product for doing just that, with pigmentation, compatibility and fairly easy to use I would recommend this to anyone!

Last but not least I have 262 Mat Green. With extreme coverage and able to be used wet and dry I like this for evening looks. The fact that Kiko have made a lot of their shadows so pigmented despite some being quite light shades, just shows that if a company puts enough time and effort into the production of creating their products you can find some really good colours. For summer I really like to apply this over my lid with nothing else, just too add a bit of definition to my eye without drawing too much attention away from the main focus.

Let me know down below if you’ve ever tried a Kiko product? And if so, what one was your favourite and why? Thank you so much for taking the time to read this post lovelies. I will see you all Wednesday, bye bye for now! xoxo
